Not long after Suzy Favor Hamilton was announced as the new WPVGA spokesperson, she made her first appearance at Walk Wisconsin in Stevens Point on June 4th. All participants finished their walks in Pfiffner Park and were rewarded by receiving a medal from none other than Suzy Favor Hamilton.

The Powered By Wisconsin Potatoes (PBP) team was in full force at Walk Wisconsin with 59 participants walking either the quarter, half, or full marathon. Upcoming PBP events include triathlons in Pardeeville on July 9th, Lactic Edge in Stevens Point also on July 9th, Castle Rock near Friendship on July 23rd, and Waupaca on August 20th. A new addition to the PBP events is the Antigo Tater Trot on August 13th that consists of a 1 mile run, 4 mile walk, and a 10K run.
