National Potato Industry Leaders to Visit Wisconsin

The leaders of Potatoes USA and the National Potato Council are planning a visit to Wisconsin in June!  Potatoes USA President/CEO Blair Richardson, current grower Chairman Dan Moss of Declo, Idaho, and NPC President and CEO, John Keeling, plan to visit Wisconsin June 26-28, 2018.  They would like to visit and meet as many Wisconsin growers as possible during this trip, so please feel free to make plans to attend one of their stops.

Their first visit will be to Alsum Farms & Produce in Arena, WI at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 26.  Dinner for any interested growers will follow at 6:30 p.m. at Kaminski’s Chop House Chula Vista Resort in Wisconsin Dells.

On Wednesday, June 27, a tour is planned at Okray Family Farms in Plover beginning at 10 a.m.  Lunch will follow at noon at Mikey’s in Plover.  There will then be a tour of the storage research facility at the Hancock Ag Research Station at 1:15 p.m.  An afternoon tour at Heartland Farms in Hancock will begin at 2:00 p.m..  Dinner will be held at the Sky Club in Plover beginning at 6 p.m.

On Thursday, June 28, there will be a tour of the Spudmobile and WPVGA Office in Antigo.  Lunch will follow at noon at The Refuge in Antigo.  A tour of Schroeder Bros. Farms in Antigo is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.

Any and all Wisconsin potato growers are invited to attend these events.  Blair Richardson, Dan Moss and John Keeling look forward to meeting Wisconsin growers and hosting these lunches and dinners.
