June 26th, 2019 | Posted in: Crop Updates, News

Updates provided by Amanda J. Gevens, Associate Professor & Extension Vegetable Plant Pathologist, Interim Co-Director of Wisconsin Seed Potato Certification Program, UW-Madison, Dept. of Plant Pathology

For those following DSVs within the Blitecast late blight forecasting tools, we have now surpassed the threshold of 18 potatoes planted early in the Grand Marsh location of Wisconsin. Accumulation of 19 DSVs today. At this time, I recommend preventative fungicides for the management of late blight for early planted potatoes in the Grand Marsh area and to the south in the state.
