Editor will be a self-directed person and be highly motivated. Will possess, or acquire, a broad knowledge of the Association’s purpose, policies, activities, and members. Must have strong writing ability and good public relations skills. Position requires a high level of accuracy in all work. This position’s primary responsibility is the publication of The Badger Common’Tater, the monthly magazine of the WPVGA. Responsible for publicizing and reporting on industry events and related activities in Wisconsin. Fully responsible for writing, soliciting, and editing copy; also responsible for advertising sales.Responsible for all communication with printer to include final approval of layout, design and content.
Good organizational skills are necessary to handle fluctuating workloads, coordination of simultaneous projects, and varying priorities. An undergraduate degree, or comparable experience, in one of the communications disciplines is required.
