Interview with Dr. Paul Bethke

April 5, 2006. This will long be remembered as one of the most important dates in the history of the Wisconsin Potato & Vegetable Growers Association. The event: The official groundbreaking of the WPVGA Storage Research Facility at the Hancock Agricultural Research Station.

After several years of planning, meeting, and fundraising, the rubber
finally hit the road in the form of six golden shovels digging into the ground at Hancock and throwing dirt into the air. It signified the culmination of a lot of hard work and determination, most of which can be attributed to the potato and vegetable producers
of Wisconsin.
