Interview with Dr. Russell Groves
One of the newest members of the University of Wisconsin “Potato and Vegetable Team” is Dr. Russell L. Groves. Groves was appointed in the Department of Entomology at UW-Madison as an Assistant Professor and Vegetable Entomology Extension Specialist with responsibilities for insect pest management in commercial and fresh market vegetables (including potatoes). He is filling the vacancy created by the retirement of Dr. Jeff Wyman.
Groves was raised in southeastern Iowa and holds an undergraduate degree in Forest Management from Iowa State University. He has an MS degree in Entomology from the
University of Arkansas and has a Ph.D. in Entomology from North Carolina State University.
