Interview with Jim Beach
The WPVGA’s annual Grower Education Conference and Industry Show is widely considered one of the finest such events in the entire potato industry. Scheduled for February 5-7, 2008 at the Holiday Inn in Stevens Point, this year’s show and conference will once again feature top-notch potato research reports, educational business seminars, an industry trade show with state-of-the-art equipment and supplies, as well as the annual awards banquet and WPVGA Annual Meeting.
Each year the Industry Show is organized by the WPVGA Associate Division Board of Directors (with help from the WPVGA staff). One such board member who will also be exhibiting at this year’s Show is Jim Beach of Syngenta Crop Protection, Inc. Beach was
recently recognized by the WPVGA for his efforts in obtaining a $50,000 donation from Syngenta toward the Wisconsin Potato and Vegetable Storage Research Facility.
