Wisconsin Potato and Vegetable Growers Association
Interview with John T. Schroeder
What a difference a year can make. Last year on October 11, 2007, a fire ravaged the office, warehouse and packing complex at Schroeder Brothers Farms, Inc. in Antigo, Wisconsin. The farm, which raises 2,000 acres of certified seed potatoes, had just completed harvest a matter of days before the fire broke out. So in addition to the damage to the buildings and equipment, over 300,000 cwt. of freshly dug seed potatoes were a complete loss.
