Interview with Ray Grabanski

Progressive Ag is a risk management company that specializes in providing crop insurance and marketing services through Pro Ag Systems, Inc. and Progressive Ag Marketing, Inc., two sister companies based in Fargo, North Dakota. Pro Ag Marketing provides commodity brokerage services for hedgers across the upper Midwest, focusing on hedging grains and livestock production.

The company also provides cash grain consulting services, with advice on how and when to sell cash grains. The firm has been recognized as providing the top marketing service for the 2008, 2009, and 2010 corn and soybean crop years by Top Producer magazine.

Ray Grabanski is the President of Progressive Ag and has been in that position for the past 18 years. A native of Inkster, North Dakota, Grabanski holds BS and MS degrees in Agricultural Economics from North Dakota State University. In the following interview with Ray Grabanski, he shares his views on the current state of the vegetable industry as well as where he sees it headed in the future.
