Assessing Cover Crop Adoption and Management Practices in the Wisconsin Central Sands

Paige Leytem, a graduate student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, is studying the phenology and productivity of several cover crops in the Central Sands (at Isherwood Co. Farms) and would like to incorporate a social science component to her project as well. She is interested in learning more about the drivers and barriers of cover crop adoption in the Central Sands. In order to do this, she would like to interview 10-20 growers from the region to inquire about your cover cropping practices. One of the project’s main goals is to determine what major factors impact the management decision that growers make. Therefore, having the opportunity to speak directly to growers would be invaluable.

Paige is looking for growers who are interested in meeting with her to talk about cover crops. This study has been approved by the Institutional Review Board to ensure there are no significant risks to participants. In addition, grower’s names or any other identifying information will not be used. There is a link to the study details below.

If you are interested in participating in this study please contact Paige at (319) 573-8737 or [email protected].
