COVID-19 UPDATE:

As you have heard, Governor Tony Evers will be issuing a “safer at home” order for the State of Wisconsin TOMORROW.  We do not know the exact content of the order.  However, last week, on Friday, March 20, 2020, the WPVGA proactively requested an exemption from any forthcoming Wisconsin “shelter in place” or “stay at home” order for farming, agriculture and agribusiness. (Letter to Governor Evers)

We will be reviewing the Wisconsin “stay at home” order issued tomorrow to determine whether it could affect our members. We will provide additional information as it becomes available.

While we expect the Wisconsin order to be guided by the federal guidance on “essential” businesses, which was issued last week, that  guidance is not controlling.  All decisions about “essential businesses” are currently state decisions.

We will update you as we learn more.
