Emerging Leader 2016

Spudman magazine is accepting nominations for the fourth annual “Spudman Emerging Leader Award.” Designed to recognize potato industry leaders under the age of 35 who are active in any aspect of the potato industry, the award will be presented at the National Potato Council Awards Banquet on January 14, 2016, in Las Vegas, Nevada, and will also be featured in an upcoming issue of Spudman. The award was first presented in 2013 and previous winners include Eric Halverson (2013), Jeremie Pavelski (2014) and Andy Robinson (2015). Nominations are welcome from leaders in all segments of the potato industry, from growers and shippers to researchers and marketers—anyone promoting the growth of the potato industry. The winner will be featured in an upcoming issue of Spudman.

Nominating Criteria:

  • Under 35
  • Employed in some facet of the potato industry
  • Involvement in outside industry activities and events
  • Innovative and creative
  • Local and global perspective
  • Community involvement
  • Leadership qualities
