Farm Transition, Estate Planning Workshops Planned

The University of Wisconsin-Extension will host another series of workshops this month to provide information and ideas on farm succession and estate planning. The forums will be held in Stevens Point on February 12, and in Westfield on February 19.

Attendees will learn how to develop a blueprint for farm succession, discuss financial considerations for each generation, and focus on business entities and tax consequences when transferring assets.

The program begins with registration at 9:00 a.m. and concludes at 3:30 p.m. Registration is $20 per person and includes lunch, refreshments, speakers and workshop materials.
