Mad Dog and Merrill Episode to Air August 30th

The Celebrate Plover event on July 25^th had a few extra visitors this year. Not only was the Spudmobile there for people to learn about the Wisconsin potato industry, but so was the grilling duo Mad Dog and Merrill who were filming an episode dedicated to Wisconsin potatoes; the episode will air on August 30^th.

Everyone who walked by the Spudmobile could see cameras filming Mad Dog and Merrill while they prepared delicious and healthy recipes on the grill using Wisconsin potatoes.

And they weren’t the only ones grilling those spuds. Help from various industry members like Andy Diercks (Coloma Farms), Dick Okray (Okray Family Farms) and Marv Hopp (retired from Robert’s Irrigation) added to the education as they spoke about irrigation technology, farming practices and sustainability.

The opportunity comes as a result of the Mad Dog and Merrill sponsorship the WPVGA Promotions Committee agreed to for a second consecutive year. The 30-minute episode is set to air on August 30^th; check your local listings for exact channel and time.
