Nominations Sought for AgVocate of the Year

Badgerland Financial, Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation, the University of Wisconsin-Extension, and Farm Broadcaster Pam Jahnke are coming together once again to present the ‘AgVocate of the Year’ award to a woman who is an innovative leader and has contributed to the success of Wisconsin agriculture. Coordinators say nominations are being accepted to honor a woman who has actively and positively represented agriculture to both her peers and those outside of the agriculture community.

To be eligible for the honor, the nominee must reside in Wisconsin and needs to be part of an agriculture enterprise, agribusiness, farm and/or commodity organization which operates in the state. Applications will be judged by a panel of industry professionals. No self-nominations will be accepted.

The 2015 AgVocate of the Year will receive $500 cash and $500 donated to the agriculture charity of her choice.

Nominations are due by January 31. The winner will be named at the Wisconsin Ag Women’s Summit in Madison in March.
