Potatoes USA Exhibits at Leading School Foodservice Conference
Potatoes USA exhibited at the largest school nutrition event of the year, the School Nutrition Association’s Annual National Conference. The annual event was held in San Antonio, Texas from July 11-13, attracting over 6,500 school foodservice operators and decision makers. The Potatoes USA booth featured salad bar-friendly potato recipes, branded materials and a life size Potatoes Raise the Bar cutout for photo opportunities. Potatoes USA took this opportunity to create meaningful connections with a variety of school foodservice professionals and cement itself as a valuable resource for information regarding potatoes in school meals.
The team also hosted 15 leading school foodservice influencers at a multicourse, potato-centric dinner at the Culinary Institute of America’s Nao Latin Gastro Bar. There, Potatoes USA consultants Dayle Hayes and Chef Garrett Berdan, RD led discussion among attendees about potato innovation in school meals and potential opportunities to integrate with Potatoes USA. Potatoes USA will feature unique and interesting operator stories told at the dinner and conference in a new monthly e-newsletter, slated to start this August.
