Wisconsin Potato and Vegetable Growers Association

Water Quality/Quantity WPVGA Assessment

The link below is to an online assessment to determine water stewardship, water conservation and best management practices adoption for water quality and quantity aspects by WPVGA growers. It was developed by the WPVGA in collaboration with UW-Specialists to document current water quantity and quality best management practices among the Wisconsin Potato and Vegetable Growers Association members. An initial quantity water conservation and irrigation practice assessment was concluded in 2014 with positive results, and we will use summarized results from this assessment to track changes and advances since 2014 for quantity practices while also assessing adoption of new water quality/quantity best management options developed and now used in production. The results will be used to promote positive advances and new adoptions of water quantity and quality aspects for the WPVGA.

All assessments are private and grower information is not recorded. No individual farm or field data will be collected (just practice adoption information) and no specific farm names or location are tracked. The assessment should take between 20-30 minutes, and once completed you will be asked to send an email to Julie Braun verifying completion for industry needs. If you have any questions, please contact assessment administrator Deana Knuteson ([email protected], 608-347-8236).

I would ask that you please take time to complete this by April 5, 2019.
