Wisconsin Potato and Vegetable Growers Association

WPVGA and Antigo Legion Baseball Team to Honor Glen Wolter

The Antigo American Legion 19U Baseball team will recognize long-time potato grower Glen Wolter with a game in his honor on Tuesday, June 25 in Antigo.

The Antigo Typhoon American Legion Post #3 will host Plover at 7 p.m. on June 25 at Kretz Park, and current Wisconsin Potato Industry Board member Keith Wolter will throw out the ceremonial first pitch in honor of his father, Glen Wolter, who passed away on April 5, 2019.  Glen loved all sports and played softball, basketball and golf.  His passion for sports included teaching his children and watching athletes from Antigo throughout their careers.  Glen also served many years on the Wisconsin Potato Industry Board including a term as President.

The WPVGA is a proud sponsor of the Legion game on June 25.  We’d like to thank Dean Noskowiak and the Antigo Dugout Club for honoring Glen Wolter.  We also encourage everyone to come out to the ball park and enjoy all the festivities.
