Cucumber Downy Mildew Confirmed in Southwest Michigan
Cucumber Downy Mildew
Cucurbit downy mildew on cucumber has been confirmed in Berrien County, MI. This is in the southwestern corner of the state of MI and the finding was a small research plot at the Benton Harbor Ag Research Station. In the past, when downy mildew has been detected in SW MI, we typically see it in WI in the following week or two. Please be watchful in susceptible cucurbit crops and be aware of preventative fungicides – some listed within Dr. Mary Hausbeck’s newsletter linked here, and in previous Veg Crop Updates Newsletter from June 30, 2019 linked here.
