Wisconsin Potato and Vegetable Growers Association

The 2015 WI Potato MobilePack Event for Feed My Starving Children was a Success!

You were a part of nearly 350 volunteers coming together in Stevens Point to pack 108,864 potato based meals. Enough to feed about 300 children for a year!! Approximately 6,200 children die each day from hunger and hunger related disease. It is truly amazing and heartwarming to see the love and generosity poured out by you to help change that number.

We had contracted with FMSC for a 100,000 meal event. This event was blessed with the additional funds that allowed us to push through the day, even with fewer volunteers than we had anticipated, and pack all the available raw product the FMSC staff had sent us. This resulted in the ability to once again pack over the goal and feed more children than we had originally hoped!

Thank you to the Wisconsin Potato and Vegetable Growers Association, the WPVGA Associate Division and Wisconsin Seed Potato Improvement Association, for the financial donations allowing this event to take place. Thank you to the WPVGA staff for the support as we planned the event and spread the word about WI potato growers feeding the world! Thank you to YOU the growers for your generous donations and your time spent at the event working with your hands and heart.

This yearly event would not be possible without you!

Sincerely,

Wisconsin Potato Growers Auxiliary, Board of Directors and FMSC WI Potato MobilePack Event Coordinators
