Packing Potato Meals to Prevent Starvation

Wisconsin potato industry partners with Feed My Starving Children; Donations and 500+ volunteers needed.

Syngenta Brand Manager Grant Aldridge prepares a potato-based meal at the MannaPack event hosted by Syngenta in North Carolina in March. With 545 volunteers, Syngenta packed 178,000 potato servings which were shipped to hungry children. The Wisconsin Potato & Vegetable Growers Association is sponsoring a similar MannaPack event on July 22-24, 2011 in Stevens Point.

Making a commitment to alleviate world hunger, the Wisconsin Potato & Vegetable Growers Association will sponsor a three-day, potato-meal packing event to help feed hungry children all over the globe.
