Interview with Corey Kincaid

Corey Kincaid May 2011Corey Kincaid is the Vice President of Dean Kincaid, Inc., a 6,500-acre vegetable growing operation in southeastern Wisconsin.

Dean Kincaid, Inc. was founded by Corey Kincaid’s grandfather, Dean, who passed away in April of 2010. Dean got his start in farming with the help of his father, R.E. Kincaid, who was a pharmacist in Grant, Michigan. He owned some duck hunting land and wasn’t making much money leasing it out to hunters, but he heard that some farmers drained similar land in Ohio and grew onions. So Dean and his father went to Ohio to see how it was done. They came back to Michigan and converted their land and grew onions in Grant for a few years.
