Wisconsin Potato and Vegetable Growers Association

Interview with Chuck Kostichka

Chuck Kostichka recently retired after three decades of administering University of Wisconsin agricultural research facilities and programs. The former Superintendent of the UW-Hancock Agricultural Research Station, Chuck made exceptional contributions to supervising and managing staff, developing short- and long-term management plans, enhancing communications and outreach activities, and managing station finances.

Those of us who have had the pleasure of working with Chuck know that he is a team player who continually works to build productive relationships among staff, researchers, growers and the general public. Chuck was committed to education and outreach and implementing the Wisconsin Idea. He is known as an innovator with the ability to see both the “big picture” and the important details necessary to reach lofty goals.
