Madison School District Seeking Farm Partners

Wisconsin growers,

Please be advised that Madison Metropolitan School District is seeking farm partners for the 2018-2019 summer and school year. Chosen farms will have the opportunity to sell produce to the district for use in its meal programs. Farms will be identified through a Request for Information (RFI) process, a method to gather information such as expected availability and pricing. Based on RFI submissions, MMSD will choose partner farms for each produce item.

This is a wholesale opportunity for local farms. Interested growers will need to submit the RFI documents, which can be found at this linkSubmissions are due to MMSD on January 18 at 2pm.

There will be a Grower Information Meeting on January 4. Interested growers are strongly encouraged to attend. This meeting will provide guidance on completing the RFI forms, district expectations, the opportunity to ask questions, and a chance to meet district food service staff face-to-face. Please join us to learn more about becoming a MMSD Farm to School Grower. Meeting will be held at the MMSD Food Production Center, 4711 Pflaum Road in Madison.
