WPVGA Associate Division Has Pledged $15,000 in Funds to Help Launch the Endowment
The Wisconsin Potato and Vegetable Growers Association (WPVGA) and the Community Foundation of Central Wisconsin (CFCWI) have joined together to establish something enduring: a scholarship fund designed not just for today’s students, but for every future generation of Wisconsin’s agricultural leaders.
Through the Community Foundation’s long-term endowment management, every dollar given to this fund is put to work to grow over time, generating scholarship awards year after year, and ensuring that the investment Wisconsin’s ag community makes today continues to pay forward for decades to come.
The purpose of this fund is to support and invest in the next generation of leaders within Wisconsin’s potato and vegetable industry. It is also intended to strengthen the workforce, promote fresh innovation, and drive the long-term sustainability of an industry that feeds families and fuels our state’s economy.
This scholarship is for students who are part of the WPVGA community, those who carry the industry in their roots and are working to build something with it.
The WPVGA Associate Division has pledged $15,000 to launch this fund. We’re only $13,000 away from reaching endowed status and the threshold that unlocks the full power of long-term growth and ensures scholarships are awarded in perpetuity.
